WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Here are a few tips to know before booking with us:
- Access: The road out to Casa Danta requires going up a hill that cannot be easily climbed without 4-wheel drive. Therefore, we only recommend renters come in 4×4, high clearance vehicles.
- Bridge: The entrance to the property requires crossing a suspension bridge over a river. This bridge has been engineered for vehicles, and is completely safe to drive across. However, as we know this is a unique experience for many (there are not a lot of drivable suspension bridges out there!), we will meet you at the start of the bridge when you first arrive.
- Weather: We are located in the middle of the rainforest and with that sometimes comes (as you can probably guess!) rain. Storms can temporarily disable the wifi and satellite TV; however, they should resume without issue after the storm has passed. There is a backup generator to ensure electricity remains on.
- Area: The drive to Quepos/Manuel Antonio is around 30-45 minutes, and around 1 hour to Jaco. If you would like to do tours in the area, tour companies will not pick you up from the house; however, they will pick you up in Quepos, and most have parking areas at their main offices.
- Amenities: The pool and grill are shared amenities, with set operating hours; however, we do not rent out all of the bungalows on the property, and space any and all rentals so as to maintain a sense of privacy for all guests.
- Dogs: We have a few friendly puppies that live on the property, but will keep them away from the house.
- Problems: In case of any issues, a property caretaker lives nearby and can assist.
